     2014-06-13 Results of Students’ research practice competition are presented at the section "Competition results"

     2014-04-18 Lithuanian Research Council is launching a call for foreign students to apply for Students’ research practice, held in summer 2014. Application submission deadline is 16:00, May 5, 2014.


    Students’ research practice for Undergraduate or Graduate student is scientific research project, performed by student during summer at the research institution in Lithuania. Students are expected to complete a 2-month, full-time research project under the guidance of a scientific supervisor according to the individual study program.
    The scholarship of LTL 2080 (not taxed with residents’ income tax) is allocated to the students for the entire period of 2 months of the research practice.
    Students, coming from other countries are additionally provided with the support for full or partial compensation of accommodation and travel expenses.


    The call is for applications from Bachelor and Master Degree students from the European Union Member States, who wish to pursue summer scientific research in Lithuania. The project is also open for Lithuanian students, residing and studying outside the European Union.
    The practice is open to students, whose weighted average score for the courses from the last semester (autumn 2013) is equal to, or greater than 8 in Lithuanian grading system (or equivalent).


    Students are invited to submit applications electronically at http://studentai.lmt.lt/index_en.php by 16:00, May 5, 2014.
    One student can submit applications to two research practice places; he/she must fill separate application form for each place.
    Applications will be forwarded to research practice supervisors and they will select students for the practice. The deadline for supervisors to make selection is 16:00, May 20th, 2014.

     2013-05-23 Dear students, the student selection period is now over.

    The Research Council of Lithuania will verify the selections made by supervisors and will approve the practice places.
    The verification period will take place until June 6th.

    If your application was been chosen by the supervisor and the choice approved by the Council,
    you will see your application under the title “Confirmed application” (you have to log in to see the title).

    After approval students and supervisors will be informed by email.
